Why Safe with Me?

Equipping and empowering you to say
with confidence…
“They will be safe with me”!
We all want to be able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our little ones and respond confidently and effectively to any medical emergency that may arise while they are in our care.
SWM workshops aim to relieve your anxieties around potential emergency situations by providing comprehensive, practical and personalised workshops in a supportive environment at a relaxed pace.
Upon completion of a SWM workshop you will be equipped with knowledge and skills that will enable you to not only perform effective, life sustaining CPR, but also to recognise and respond to a range of other potential childhood emergencies.

My Story
Hi, I’m Jenny… welcome to Safe With Me.
I have an extensive background in intensive care nursing, spanning almost 40 years and have worked in both the adult and paediatric setting. I have also spent many months over the past decade working as a volunteer intensive care nurse for a large international charitable organisation in several West African nations.
For the past 12 years I have worked in the Paediatric ICU of The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Sydney.
Working with and caring for critically ill children and their families is both incredibly challenging and rewarding, and I have always loved my work.
During my career I have witnessed first hand the outcomes, both good and bad, of countless childhood medical emergencies.
Often the difference between a positive or negative outcome for a child is due to the clear thinking, confident and effective application of first aid measures by non-medical first responders.
Seeing this has made me passionate about the need for anyone in our community who cares for children to be educated and equipped with knowledge and skills that could potentially save a child’s life.
As a parent, and now grandparent, to eight precious little ones myself, I know that we all want every child to be safe in our care.
Bringing together my professional and personal experience makes me uniquely qualified to guide you through your Kids CPR and First Aid learning journey.
SAFE WITH ME Kids CPR and First Aid is born out of a personal desire to see you equipped and empowered to confidently be able to say
THEY WILL BE SAFE WITH ME
